Boobgate: Overreaction or Feminist Statement?

Question: When you looked at the dress attached to this post, did you think to yourself that it was too low-cut? Too boob-ily? Yeah, I didn't. And most players who paid real life currency for the set didn't either.
A new controversy has erupted between certain Chinese players (dubbed Nikkimoms - High spending players who treat Nikki as their own daughter) and the rest of the playerbase appropriately dubbed "boobgate". Nikkimoms were outraged at the allegedly low-cut and sexualized lolita-wear to the degree where Infold actually changed the set after it had already released. To put this in non-gamer terms:
Imagine ordering a burger. The waiter brings it out, you start chowing down. Awesome. Then, halfway through your meal, the table next to you starts whining about the burger. The restaurant rips the burger out of your hands, and gives you the more appealing burger to the other table. It doesn't matter what you want, it doesn't matter you ordered something else, it doesn't matter you already paid for it - The table next to you didn't like it, so it's kaput.
Not only is this hardcore pandering, it also sets a frightening precedent: Infold can rummage around and mess with whatever you want, even after you've paid for it.
The whole sentiment is an anti-feminist, puritan-istic viewpoint. Nikki is a woman with a chest. It's not inherently sexual, it's not degrading, it's a grown woman who's allowed to show skin. Forcing women to cover up sends a clear message: the female body is an object perpetually sexualized, even in their own safe spaces.
It's important to note, most Chinese players don't agree with this ordeal. I've seen people using this as an excuse to be racist, nasty, or make harmful generalizations. Just as there are English players who do agree with the censorship, there are Chinese players who disagree.
Here's a Reddit link showcasing the changes shortly after release:
